         Hello I'm Marilyn, The Owner Of Natural Divas Plus Salon , I offer professional and unapparelled service and inspiration to all my clients. As long as I can remember I loved hair and fashion. 

        I was 12 years old when my moms old hairstylist Ms. Mary was doing my hair. I hated the way she did my hair she made me look like I was 70 years old lady. I told my mom I didn't want her to do my hair anymore. I was also bulled in school everyday but being creative with hair and fashion gave me a since of peace. In school and I begin to see other girl wearing weave ponytails and I loved the way they looked on them. Then I began to inquire with them about it. Then I asked my mom to buy me a ponytail and we went to the beauty supply and I picked out the one I liked the most. This was the beginning of who I am today. I use to go get books and magazines with pictures, use myself, my sister to do different hairstyle and asked my middle brother to hold the mirror in the back why I held the mirror in the front we laugh all the time about it now lol. It's funny back in the 80s and 90s there wasn't a lot of advancement on social media. Like it is now I didn't own a phone until I was about 18 years old. So I had to be creative and watch other stylist when my mom went and got her hair done and buy books and magazines. I'm a visual learner I can look at a hairstyle 95% of the time and create it just like the picture. Yes this is my gift to create and inspire is who I was created to be.  On my dads side all my cousins are hairstylists so yes this is what I was born to do.

       As I continued to perfect my craft over the last few decades. I knew I wanted something more so I started researching. and I always heard of Atlanta Georgia the hair Mecca. Then my oldest brother said to me after I finished my sister hair, Hair Is your gift this this is what you were born to do change lives. So to make a long story short I moved to Atlanta with one check and a dream and went to Empire Beauty School I was in student council, 90/90 club, salon manager and many more.  Graduated the top of my class, I have dedicated my entire career to bringing out the inner beauty in all of my clients and letting them know they are Queens.
